New Chelsea Society is a well-established non-profit housing society and a registered charity that has been based in Vancouver since 1952, and is Canadian owned and operated. It is highly respected as a successful and professionally operated Society that offers a variety of accommodation and services.

New Chelsea Society’s existence is based wholly on the effective provision of safe and affordable housing in close-knit communities of sharing and caring. Staff and volunteers are committed to promoting and enhancing residents’ quality of life and well-being through program developments, teamwork, and community involvement. Each property has a live-in site manager. The society’s directors take an active role and participate in many Board Committees for the betterment of our housing and our tenants. Residents are kept well informed through newsletters and notices, and are encouraged to participate in on-site social activities organized and funded by the society and/or the local tenant social committees.

Property Management:

The Society has 17 properties located within Vancouver, Burnaby and Surrey which offer safe and secure housing to over 2,000 residents. We pride ourselves in providing high quality safe and secure accommodation for seniors, families, and persons with a disability at affordable rates.

Services to Seniors:

We provide services for active seniors over the age of 55 who value their independence, but need someone else to monitor their safety and assist in providing two daily meals, weekly housekeeping, laundry service, and activities.

Assistance with Accommodation & Services:

Our team can assist individuals with finding accommodation, and also assist them with arranging for the right supports and services if required such as professional personal home care. Please contact us for more information and assistance.
